We look at two ways of referring to the future, without even using the future tense!
Rob: Spanish from Scratch 14. The future. Hola Lis, ¿qué tal?
Lis: Hola Rob, muy bien, tú ¿cómo estás?
Rob: Bien bien, gracias, como siempre. Ok, so we’re talking about the future today. We talked about the present, we atlked about obligation, we talked about comparisons and all sorts of things like that, and now we’re going to talk about the future. But before we get into that, let’s do a quick review, or a test in fact 00:30 from some of the material from previous podcasts. So, can you remember what the following phrases mean?
Lis: El coche es caro.
Rob: “El coche es caro”. So hopefully you can remember that “caro” is expensive, and you can remember that “coche” means “car”, so “el coche es caro” means
Lis: The car is expensive
Rob: The car is expensive. Lis was rolling her eyes then 1:00 because in Colombia they don’t say it like that
