Lis: Bueno, el tema de hoy, lo teníamos pendiente, y es acerca de un viaje que hizo Rob, muy interesante, 00:30 aunque yo no fui, pero bueno. Cuéntanos Rob, ¿Adónde fuiste a final del año pasado?

Rob: Bueno en septiembre de 2017 fui con mi hermano a Méjico.

Lis: ¿De dónde nació la idea? O, ¿por qué eligieron Méjico?

Rob: Méjico siempre ha sido un país que queríamos visitar, y bueno, mi 1:00 hermano también tenía varios puntos, air miles, se llaman, millas

Great podcast, as usual. Could you please clarify “donde fueramos”. you’ve translated as wherever we went, however when I translate it comes up as “where we were”. Which is correct? many thanks.

Donde fueramos uses the subjunctive, so in this case takes the meaning of adding “-ever” to the preposition, so “where” becomes “wherever”. “Where we were” could also be a translation, but loses that subtletly of “-ever” – this would probably be better translated as donde fuimos
